During a recent DSS audit, Personalized Home Care Ltd., of CT had a chance to experience the effectiveness of our Homerun System in the retrieval of information necessary to expedite the audit process.
Prior to the audit, we were able to print out the patient visit history for the client visits billed for the audit period and audit the chart for the matching visit note or home health aide activity sheet.
During the audit we were able to efficiently access and print off all records requested by the auditor for bill dates and remittance dates for client visits. The system allows us to hold DSS billing until doctors’ signed orders are received. This was a focus for this auditor and the practice of holding the visits until doctors’ orders are back signed saved us charge backs with extrapolation.
Using our Homerun System made this audit process the least stressful of any audit I have experienced.
