Company History
White Oak Systems was formed in 1995 with the intent
of revolutionizing the administration and delivery
of Home Health Care services through information systems.
Staffed by experts in the fields of Information Systems
and Home Health Care management, White Oak Systems
embarked on what would become the culmination of hundreds
of combined years of experience in these industries.
At that time, the industry was facing rapid growth
as well as change, not to mention an ever-increasing
regulatory burden. OASIS was imminent and industry
veterans already understood that Episodic Payment
under Medicare (i.e. the Prospective Payment System)
was but a few years away. Competition over information
systems existed between clinical and financial operations
because existing MIS tools were not integrated. As
funding became scarce, many systems became more polarized
to either the financial or the clinical side and the
increasing lack of integration contributed to overall
inefficiencies.
It is in this environment that White
